All Over The Place

The last couple of weeks have been quite the whirlwind. I wrapped up one corporate design project and am diving into the next. Who would have thunk that I would actually prefer corporate over residential design. It's the weirdest thing. I have almost all my Christmas shopping done and now I just need to get wrapping. Oh, and we put an offer on a HOUSE!!! I am so excited and so nervous, but if this is not the one then we will continue our hunt. As much as we LOVE our rental we are ready to have a home of our own again. I don't want to say too much about the house as of yet, but oh the vision I have for it! It's a great for now and needs some future updating kind of house, but I love the mid-century modern feel it has to it. It most definitely feels like a dream place to me. We shall see if it will be ours or someone else's. Where we live fixer upper's only fit into our price bracket and this excites me. We have even considered two bedrooms, but not sure how long that will actually work with having a girl and a boy on the verge of being in middle school. I've been drawing so much inspiration from the new Kinfolk Home book. It's so good!!! I'm so ready to get my hands dirty again! Please remind me of that when I have to paint a whole house myself since hiring out won't be in the budget. Ha. Below are some kitchen images that pretty much embrace the look I would be going for. Very clean, organic, and gives the feeling of warmth. Ours would be done on a tight budget so these are just inspiration of course.
