I can Bake

Last night I posted this pic on Instagram and thought I would share the recipe. It was given to me years ago by a friend at one of our church/small groups. I still use it today for the very same purpose. It is easy, quick, and tastes ever so good. I try to always have the ingredients on hand, because you never know when a dessert may be needed. They are NOT gluten free by the way, I enjoyed them before I was, but I am sure they could be revised using Cup 4 Cup which I have yet to try. You can get it here and here in bulk.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup melted butter

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cups of flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt {I use sea salt, about 6 turns of the grinder}

approximately: 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, or peanut butter chips. {really I use what I have on hand and I always mix and match, plus I just throw it in and never measure}

Bake Me:

SIDE NOTE: Supposedly you mix the first 4 ingredients in a separate bowl. I bypass this step for less mess and they seem to turn out just the same.

Combine the first 4 ingredients and mix well {I use my kitchenAid that I we received as a wedding gift over 9 years ago. Best gift ever.}. Add the remaining ingredients leaving the chips for last.

Spread into greased 13x9 baking dish.

bake @350 for 18-21 minutes {depending on oven of course}

cool before enjoying.
