2020 Gift Guide - LUXE GIFTS

For some people this is their everyday, but for me these are considered investment pieces. They feel luxurious and are all pieces that I own and have tested. Just a reminder that some items are affiliate links that I make a small commission on that help me keep this blog going. Others are truly pieces that I love from smaller shops that you may not have heard of. The beautycounter products are products I represent as a consultant, but are truly ones I love.

1} The Golden Hour All-In-One Palette. It truly is a palette that works with all skin tones. Can be used for an everyday look and a night out. You can see me sampling it here.

2} Jenni Kayne mules. They are an investment. I gifted them to myself for my 40th birthday. They look fabulous with a fun dress all the way to leggings. Truly my go to’s.

3} Luyna sleep wear. Being in pajamas is truly my favorite thing. These are my favorites by far & the only ones I now wear. They feel good, easy to wash & make me feel good when wearing pj’s all day. Ellie also swears by the eye mask. It has also cut down on her mask breakouts.

4} Laurel Dawn Corner Studio has a gift. Personally art is something I believe is to be treasured. She is a go-to of mine for myself and my clients. Her pieces are unique and feel special. Can’t invest in an original right now? She also has prints that are so pretty in person.

5} Yearly Co hoop earrings were a gift from my family for my 40th. They truly are heirloom quality pieces and Ellie is already waiting for me to hand them down.

6} Artis makeup brush. These make putting on makeup so easy and gives a flawless finish. You can see it action here. They even have a seconds shop with brushes that may have a minor flaw. These are making it into Ellie’s stocking this year.

7} Noha Nadler tote. I have multiple pieces from Noha that I have bought over the years. The more I use them the better they get. This tote is perfect for work, weekend getaways or for those who love to carry it all.

8} Countertime skin care you have heard me go on and on about on my IG. It is perfect for aging skin. It has truly changed my skin since its release. It’s a safer retinol alternative line that works. Plus it is pretty enough to leave out on the counter. PS the refillable mini set is coming back for a limited run. They sold out in a mere few hours last year.

Branch Basics

AFTER

I have spent many years trying to find a clean cleaning product that was minimal and actually worked. I think I finally found one! The results speak for themselves, but I can’t say enough good things. This is the kids bathroom and no it is not always that gross. We have been renovating our master bath, because the leaks got out of control. Then while that was happening the kids bathroom sink started to leak. UGH. This house is from 1948 and the way plumbing used to be done is that the drain pipe was welded into the wall. There is no unscrewing and installing a new one. My plumber came up with the idea of just starting new through the floor so we would not have to remove the tile. The tile in here is not what I would choose, but it is not bad. Sometimes making things work is 100 times better than starting again. We had a new vanity made to fit this tiny space and once it is all back together I will be sure to share. Now back to cleaning, Branch Basics is an all purpose cleaner that does wonders. For here, I followed the directions and used the oxygen booster by sprinkling some on the floor and allowing it to soak with the all purpose cleaner. It did take some work, but it all came clean. I couldn’t believe it. I then tried the oxygen booster in a load of of clothes that had my sons sport shirts in them and the smell came out! I have tried all the things. Soaking them in vinegar, not a clean sport detergent, spraying the arm pits with stain remover, etc and nothing truly took the smell out. I even threw away a few shirts, because I was at a loss of what to do. I am so grateful to now have a solution and so is he. Anyhow, this is not a sponsored post even if it does read like one. It genuinely is just a clean product I was excited to share.

They do have a a $10 off code if you happen to want to try it. They have a trail pack of the all purpose cleaner and that is what I got originally. I did not want to waste anymore money on things that simply don’t work. Now I will get the concentrate since I found it to be a win.

*my grout cleaning brush that I can’t clean without.

Monthly Musings

When I decided to take a social media break I was then missing out on connecting so I thought a monthly newsletter might be another way to make it happen. I needed to take some time to disconnect and focus more on what is in front of me. I think the quiet allowed me space to dream again. This monthly letter, will be kept light with bite size tidbits. Design shares, my favorite product of the month, and whatever I may be reading, listening to, watching, etc. I am hoping you find it as a place for inspiration and encouragement. Who knows maybe a favorite recipe may make its way here or if you have any requests I would love to hear them!

As always, thank you for your unwavering support, whether big or small. It creates a space for me to share what I love & run with wild ideas. You can subscribe below. Hope you enjoy this space, but if not no hard feelings and be sure to unsubscribe. Love this space? I would be honored if you passed it on.
