how can it be...

How can it already be the 2nd week of December? I finally have a handle on Christmas shopping and should be done by the end of the week I hope. Next week will be filled with class parties and the final rush before school gets out. I have lofty goals of tying up all loose ends and be ahead on blog posts before vacation starts, but we shall see. I do love this season and am intent on not letting it pass without soaking in every last once of it. Tis the season of resounding joy!

A Gift for Me

I bought myself a gift yesterday. After searching for months for any sort of deal on this thing I came across a refurbished deal at a fraction of the cost. It still isn't the cheapest, but the amount of outside debris that gets tracked into this house and the way our dog is shedding I think it will make life easier or at the very least cleaning easier. I bought our big dyson as a refurbish and have had it for years, but it is not good for a quick cleaning and can get heavy on the new stairs. I am giddy! Can't wait for it to arrive!

*KJ had a Christmas wish list update that he insisted if he only got this he would be thrilled so I thought I would share if any of you were stumped. A neighborhood kid has one and he is in love. What is this mystical thing you ask... an electric scooter. I've seen him handle it with ease so I'm not too worried, but helmets will be a must that's for sure.

It's that time of year again for us to send out Christmas cards. This time around I knew I wanted our rental home to be part of the memory we were capturing. This year had a lot of unexpected change for us and it's a season of life I do not want to forget or let pass by too quickly. So this is us embracing the newness this year has brought with open arms. This is also us hoping the old picnic table that came with the house does not snap. HA.

Just so you know the black lines around the edge of the cards were added by me so you can see the shape. In all realness the card edges just run white and are stunning that way. The back of our Minted card this year has a little run down of our year. I always put a card in the kids baby books so I thought this way they could also see what they were up to in 2014. I hope to continue this tradition for years to come. I think it will be fun when they move off to then take all the cards over the years and make a poster type print of them. It will then give me a chance to "remember when" I was young and wrinkle free.
